History of Awaken

• 1983 - Centre Training School (CTS) formed in Liverpool under the auspices of Liverpool Holistic Health Centre.
• 1990 - Centre Association of Psychotherapists (CAP) formed to provide support for DHP holders, including insurance, supervision, and a voice in their own affairs through the democratically elected council.
• 1995 - Elected to United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy, as a Training and Registering Member Organisation.
• 1998 - Name changed to Centre Training International School of Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy (CTISHP).
• 2000 - CAP is evolved to the National Hypno-Psychotherapy Council (NHPC).
• 2006 - CTISHP sold to Lisa and Mark Wake. Name changed to Awaken School of Outcome Oriented Psychotherapies Ltd.
• 2007 - Awaken School announce an expansion of courses available to students to study towards accreditation to include more hypnotherapy courses, NLP courses and CPD events
• 2007 - Move into new offices in Stokesley
